What equipment does Matrix recommend?

Matrix Networks has standardized on Nomadix and Colubris gateways, which have been the easiest to work with and provide more customer benefits than other gateways we have tested. This includes and provides:

• MAC filtering (safe guard the network against malicious activity and most common virus')
• Individual bandwidth control
• VPN capabilities
• Ease in getting customers online

We highly recommend POE managed switches primarily for remote access to the network. We primarily deploy HP managed switches with VLANs to every room and to every access point. Cisco access points have proven to be the leading product based on signal strength, sensitivity, and extremely low failure rates. HP access points also rarely fail, are easy to manage and come with a lifetime warranty.
